Fleet Detailing for Service Vans: A Real Job for a Local Plumbing Company

A local plumbing company brought one of their service vans in for a full fleet detail, and it's a good example of why fleet work is different from detailing a personal car.

A service van sees a different kind of wear than a daily driver. Tools, parts, and equipment get loaded and unloaded constantly, so the interior takes more abuse, and the exterior spends long hours parked at job sites exposed to sun, dust, and whatever the work site kicks up. On top of that, a plumbing van is a rolling advertisement for the business, so a clean, sharp-looking vehicle matters for how customers see the company before anyone even knocks on the door.

For this job, that meant a full exterior wash and decontamination to cut through the road grime, an interior deep clean to handle the cab and any built-up dust from daily use, and attention to the details that get skipped in a quick rinse, like door jambs, wheel wells, and trim.

This wasn't our first time working with this fleet either. See our earlier write-up on this plumbing fleet, and if you want to see this kind of work on a different kind of fleet, check out our Dundee Police Department detail job. We also apply ceramic coating to fleet vehicles that want longer-lasting protection between details.

We work with businesses that run anywhere from a single van to a full fleet, and we can come to your lot or shop so vehicles aren't sitting out of service for a drop-off. If you run a fleet in McHenry County and want it looking as sharp as the work you do, check out our services, or you can get a fleet quote online at xdcustoms.com/book-online or call or text 847-501-0456.
